Generate illustrations, set featured images, control image handling and add YouTube embeds.
Click to enlargeAI engine for image generation
In this drop-down menu you should select the provider or infrastructure that will be used to generate the illustrations for your articles. The following options are available:
- None - Disables image generation for the campaign entirely.
- OpenRouter - A unified gateway that grants access to a vast, dynamically updated roster of graphics models from various independent providers. This includes the FLUX family, OpenAI models, Recraft, and many others, all managed via a single OpenRouter API key.
- Freepik - Connects directly to the official Freepik API to utilize their native image generation assets.
- Flux - Provides a dedicated list of models from the FLUX ecosystem, operating specifically through the third-party CometAPI or GoAPI services.
- Midjourney - Enables Midjourney image generation, which requires an external API integration provided by GoAPI or CometAPI.
- Stable Diffusion - Provides a selection of models available directly through the official StabilityAI API infrastructure.
Note on model availability: While frameworks like Freepik and Stable Diffusion interface directly with their parent company APIs, advanced generation engines like Midjourney and some FLUX configurations rely on specialized routing via GoAPI and CometAPI. If you prefer a single-vendor setup with maximum flexibility, OpenRouter allows you to deploy various cutting-edge models (including FLUX variants) without needing separate subscriptions to multiple bridge services.
After selecting a graphics engine or provider, the interface will adapt dynamically to display its specific configuration parameters. These parameters may include image dimensions in pixels, quality presets, and predefined aspect ratios. The available options depend strictly on the architectural requirements of the chosen engine.
Regardless of the selected provider, a core set of universal parameters remains consistent across all supported setups. The baseline options are described in detail below.
Number of images
The requested number of article illustrations, capped at the section count. The supplied code distributes insertion positions across sections, rather than simply putting an image before every section. The actual inserted count depends on available positions and successful provider results.
Skip first image
This checkbox allows you to control the placement of the first generated image in your AI-generated articles. By default, the first image is placed above the first text section. However, in some WordPress themes, this can result in an undesirable layout, with the featured image appearing above the post, followed immediately by the first image of the post itself, creating a redundant visual effect.
With Skip first image enabled, insertion positions begin after the first section position. For short articles, fewer images than requested may be inserted. Check a draft before enabling the campaign schedule.
Note: If your article consists of a single section of text and this option is enabled, there will be no images in the article.
Prompt
Enter your image prompt. You can use normal human language to describe what kind of image you want to get created. Spintax is allowed here.
If the "Auto" mode is enabled, use this text box to specify the desired parameters and visual style for the images created using the AI-generated prompt, e.g., "photo-realistic" or "natural afternoon light, Canon EOS R5, 100mm lens, aperture set to f1.2, capturing a moment, cinematic style".
Auto prompt
If this option is enabled, the plugin will automatically generate images that are tailored to the content of each text section in which they are inserted.
Image class
Specify the CSS class to style inserted images. This class will define how images are presented within your posts. By applying a CSS class to the <img> tag, you gain precise control over the appearance and behavior of the images in your WordPress posts. This allows you to customize various aspects such as borders, shadows, margins, padding, and alignment. For example, you can ensure that all images have a uniform border style, add shadows for a more polished look, or adjust the spacing around images to better integrate them with the surrounding text. Additionally, you can use responsive design techniques to ensure that images adjust appropriately to different screen sizes, enhancing the overall user experience on mobile and desktop devices.
Convert images to
Use this menu to select the format to which you want to convert the AI-generated PNG images and to set the image compression quality. The following options are available:
- Do not convert
- JPEG
- WebP
AI providers can return large raster images. The incoming format depends on the provider. Using this drop-down menu, you can enable their automatic conversion to JPEG and WebP formats, which compresses the images and significantly saves disk space on your server. In addition to selecting the format, you must also set the compression quality, which ranges from 10 (minimum file size and lowest image quality) to 100 (maximum file size and highest image quality).
Media library
Select the way you want the images to be included in the WordPress media library. The following options are available:
- Do not include images
- Include only full-sized images
- Create and include thumbnails
Post thumbnail
Specify the post thumbnail (featured image) generation method. The following options are available:
- None - the post will not have a thumbnail image
- Create unique image - a new unique image will be generated
- Use first post image - the first image in the article will be used as the thumbnail for the post
YouTube video
A drop-down menu with values:
- No video (disabled)
- Use keywords
- AI content match
Choose how you want to find a YouTube video for your article. "Use keywords" uses the keywords provided for the article title. "AI content match" uses AI to analyze your article to find relevant videos.
Position
Specify the text section number after which the video should be inserted. If set to 0, the video will be placed before the first section. If the selected position exceeds the total number of sections, the supplied code does not insert a video. Use a position within the generated section count.
Container class
Specify the CSS class to style the inserted video container. If this field is empty, no div container will be used. This allows users to customize the appearance and layout of the video within their posts. By defining a CSS class, you can control the video's alignment, margins, padding, and other styling properties to ensure that the video fits into the design of your WordPress posts. For example, you might want to add a border, background color, or specific spacing around the video to match your site's theme.
For example, if you enter the class name "video-container" in the Container class field and add the following style to your theme's style.css file or through the standard Customize->Additional CSS menu, all your YouTube video embeds will become responsive and will fit into the page design on any device (desktop, tablet, mobile):
.video-container {
position: relative;
padding-bottom: 56.25%;
height: 0;
overflow: hidden;
}
.video-container iframe {
position: absolute;
top: 0;
left: 0;
width: 100%;
height: 100%;
}
iframe class
Specify the CSS class to style the inserted iframe. This allows for additional customization of the video itself. By assigning a CSS class to the iframe, you can control its size, border, aspect ratio, and other styling elements. This is especially useful if you want to ensure a consistent video presentation across all of your posts. For example, you could set a fixed width and height for all videos, remove default borders, or use responsive design techniques to ensure that videos look good on different devices and screen sizes.
Provider-specific options
| Engine | Connection and options |
|---|---|
| OpenRouter | OpenRouter API Key; dynamic image-model selection, Aspect ratio and Quality. Defaults: openrouter/auto, 16:9, 1K. |
| Freepik | Freepik API Key; size and optional style, color, lighting and framing presets. |
| Flux | GoAPI or CometAPI key, provider-specific model and image size. Defaults: GoAPI, flux1-dev, 1344x786. |
| Midjourney | GoAPI or CometAPI key, Mode and Aspect ratio. Defaults: GoAPI, Fast, 16:9. |
| Stable Diffusion | Stability AI API key, Engine, Style preset and Aspect ratio. Defaults: Stable Image Core, enhance, 16:9. |
Model availability and accepted settings belong to the provider. The plugin obtains the OpenRouter image-model list through the API; refresh plugin settings and verify account access if your model is absent.
Media defaults
Image generation is None by default. The stored Number of images is 1, Post thumbnail is Create unique image, Image class is aligncenter, compression quality is 80, and Media library is Do not include images. Thumbnail settings require an enabled image engine to generate images.
Image conversion requirements
Imagick is used when available, otherwise GD is used. WebP conversion requires WebP support in the selected extension. Without either extension, the log reports that image conversion failed. The quality control allows 10 to 100.
Control media usage
Auto prompt adds text-model requests to construct image instructions. Create unique image makes an extra featured-image request. Use first post image avoids generating a separate featured image. AI content match for YouTube can add a text-model request; video matching is not guaranteed.
